I read this too, got directed to it through the Sun Times website. It's true, in Greek the word for "lesbian" and woman from Lesbos is the same. If people were more open-minded it'd be fine...The argument made in the article makes sense though. What do they expect, for the world to change the word for homosexual woman?

That seems to be the agenda. But if I were the mayor of Lesbos I would be encouraging the use of the town name--any publicity is good, right?
