My Way News - Clinton challenges Obama to Lincoln-Douglas style debate

My Way News - Clinton challenges Obama to Lincoln-Douglas style debate: "MARION, Ind. (AP) - Democratic rivals Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton turned up the rhetoric Saturday in their increasingly heated primary battle as she issued a new debate challenge and he complained of a race that's largely been reduced to trivia while working families feel economic pain.

Clinton took the debate dispute to a new level, challenging Obama to face off with her in a debate without a moderator, Lincoln-Douglas style.

'Just the two of us, going for 90 minutes, asking and answering questions, we'll set whatever rules seem fair,' Clinton said while campaigning in South Bend."

---------------

I think this is a great idea. Obama whines whenever the mean old moderators ask him hard questions, and a couple of months ago Clinton was objecting to being asked the first question too often, so why not throw down with no moderators at all?

It would be even better if they could borrow the Octagon from the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Then they could lock it from the outside and maybe put in some bamboo swords and a step ladder, and dangle a bag of super-delegate proxies fifteen feet in the air.

Just an thought.
